Open Arms: Porn Recovery (ongoing)
A space to engage in teaching, testimonies, and small groups around recovery from pornography. Young Adult Inductive Bible Study - July 7-Aug 11
Inductive Bible study for young adult. Learn skills for a life time of study. Inductive study is an investigative method of engaging the Bible that prioritizes personal discovery. Rather than relying on commentaries or another teacher you examine the text itself to determine what the passage says, what it meant historically, and how to apply its truths. Get to know God in the pages of scripture. This will be a 6-8 week study through one of Paul's letters in the NT. You will need to get an inductive study Bible to join the discussion on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8pm. July 7-Aug 11. Formed By His Word (FBHW) - Every Tuesday
Formed By His Word (FBHW) Is a weekly study of Gods word. We read and discuss the passage that will be preached that Sunday. It is a weekly rhythm among friends to study his word together. It is online from 6:30-7:30 AM. It is not complicated. We chat, we read on our own, we read together and then we discuss the passage. The questions we ask of each passage are always the same and are below. We close by praying together. 5 questions of the text. 1-What does the text teach us about God the Father, the son and Holy Spirit? 2-What does the text teach us about us and how creation is to respond to God. This could be through a positive or negative example in the passage. 3-What don't you understand or don't you like or what confuses you in the passage? 4-What did you like about the passage?
